I am staying home this year so that I can be with my two children. All in all it is harder than I thought it would be, but I love being such a big part of their lives while they are so young. I love knowing every cute thing they each do and say during the day. It is fun getting to know all of the parks and free programs around the area as well as getting to know other mommies that I can connect with.
It has been quite an adjustment going from two incomes to one. Budgeting is something that I am really working hard on, as it hasn't been too much of a problem in the past... not that we lived lavishly, but there was always enough for the basics.
A few other things I hope to get better at as far as staying home... healthy, budget meal planning and cooking, organizing everything from toys to clothes to important papers to be filed, fitting in time for me to exercise and have a little time for me, and I probably should work in cleaning my house a little more, not just picking up... cleaning.
